Small 4″ (10.2 cm) gutters — the kind on Canadian mobile homes, patio enclosures and carports — clog faster than any other size, and almost nobody makes a guard that fits them. The 4 Inch GutterBrush does: a heavy-duty brush sized for small gutters that keeps leaves and needles out with no tools, no nails, no cutting and no drilling.

Why the 4 Inch GutterBrush Works on Small Canadian Gutters

  • Actually sized for 4″ gutters: a 3.25″ (8.3 cm) brush that fills a small trough instead of a full-size guard that won't sit right.
  • Water flows straight through: rain and snowmelt pass through the bristles to the downspout.
  • Nothing fastened to the roof: no screws or clips into thin carport or mobile-home roofing.
  • Bends by hand: follows corners and short returns.
  • Lift out to clean: shake off and drop back in.
  • Keeps critters out: no open trough for birds and wasps to nest in.

Which Small Canadian Gutters the 4 Inch GutterBrush Fits

  • Small 4″ (10.2 cm) gutters on mobile and mini homes
  • Patio enclosures, sunrooms and carports
  • Sheds, bunkies, kiosks and other small-structure gutters

Quick size check: measure straight across the top opening of your gutter. 4″ (10.2 cm) = this product. Most Canadian houses use 5″ gutters — that's the 5 Inch GutterBrush. Narrower than 4″? Try the 2.25 Inch Channel Flow Guard.

How Much 4 Inch GutterBrush Do I Need?

  1. Measure each gutter run in feet (or metres × 3.28).
  2. Add the runs together.
  3. Round up to the next pack size in the table above, or combine packs (e.g. 72 ft = 60 + 12).

Example: a 20 ft carport with one gutter = one 24 ft pack, with a few feet to spare.

4 Inch GutterBrush vs Ice Buildup on Low-Slope Carport Roofs

A clogged gutter holds standing water that freezes solid, feeding ice buildup and icicles. GutterBrush keeps the trough open so meltwater can drain, and its black UV-treated bristles absorb heat on sunny days to help ice along the gutter line melt sooner — useful on the low-slope carport and porch roofs where ice loves to build.

How to Install 4 Inch GutterBrush in 4 Steps

  1. Clean the gutter once and make sure the downspout is clear.
  2. Lay sections end to end in the trough — no fasteners.
  3. Bend around corners by hand and finish with the 18″ (46 cm) fillers, or fold a section back on itself.
  4. Check after the first heavy rain that water reaches the downspout.

4 Inch GutterBrush FAQs

How do I know my gutters are 4 inch and not 5 inch?

Measure straight across the top opening. Mobile homes, carports and sunrooms are commonly 4″ (10.2 cm); most houses are 5″ (12.7 cm). Send us a photo with a tape across the top if you're unsure.

Can I use a 5 inch GutterBrush in a 4 inch gutter?

We don't recommend it — an oversized brush won't seat properly in a small trough. The 4 Inch is built specifically for that size.

Do I have to cut GutterBrush to length?

No. Each box includes 3 ft sections plus 18″ fillers, and a section can be folded back into itself for a custom length.

Does GutterBrush stop pine needles?

It stops leaves and larger debris well. Needles and seeds can catch in the top of the brush but generally stay up there to dry and blow off; under heavy pines, plan on an occasional shake-out.

Is GutterBrush maintenance-free?

No gutter guard is. When it needs attention, lift the sections out, shake or hose them off, and set them back.

Where does my order ship from — will I pay duties?

Orders ship from our stock in Paris, Ontario, priced in Canadian dollars. No duties, no brokerage fees.

Not Sure Which GutterBrush Size You Need?
